Organic fertilizer production is an effective means of utilizing waste resources, which can reduce the pollution of waste to the environment and is an environmentally friendly project. However, the management of organic fertilizer manufacturers is not standardized now. Many manufacturers produce outdoors or build simple greenhouses, which inevitably causes secondary pollution to the environment during the production process and violates the principle of environmental protection. Today we will talk about the pollution sources of organic fertilizer manufacturers and their corresponding treatment solutions?
1. Waste gas and odor pollution
Most of the raw materials for organic fertilizers are waste and perishable substances. During the storage and fermentation stages of organic fertilizer raw materials, harmful gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide are easily produced, which can cause varying degrees of toxicity to the human respiratory, digestive, cardiovascular, endocrine, and nervous systems. Some odors, even if not harmful to health, can still stimulate and affect peoples mental or emotional well-being.
There are currently many methods for eliminating odors and exhaust gases, such as water washing, chemical treatment, combustion, adsorption, air dilution, masking, ozone oxidation, plasma, and biological deodorization. Organic fertilizer manufacturers use biological deodorization methods in their production, which utilize the activity of microorganisms to decompose and transform odors to achieve deodorization. This method requires minimal investment and is easy to operate. It is recommended that organic fertilizer manufacturers construct enclosed raw material warehouses, fermentation workshops, and secondary aging workshops, where conditions permit, in order to reduce the leakage of odors and harmful gases during the conversion process.
When choosing a factory building, choose to stay away from residential areas, densely populated areas, and upwind areas.
2. Waste liquid pollution
Many raw materials for organic fertilizers contain a large amount of water, such as pig manure, cow manure, chicken manure, and other raw materials. During the process of raw material accumulation and fermentation, waste liquid will flow out and infiltrate into the underground, causing pollution to groundwater. Therefore, during the construction of the factory building, it is necessary to cement harden and prevent seepage treatment on the ground of the raw material warehouse fermentation workshop.
3. Dust pollution
Dust pollution is the main pollution caused by organic fertilizer manufacturers in the production process, and it needs to be treated with care. There are many links that generate dust pollution.
(1) When raw materials are unloaded into the warehouse and transported by different workshops using transport vehicles
(2) When fermenting and tossing raw materials
(3) When using a crusher to crush raw materials
(4) When drying and cooling fertilizer granules
Many organic fertilizer manufacturers build dust removal rooms in their production workshops and use induced draft fans and dust collectors to solve dust problems. Common dust removal equipment includes cyclone dust collectors, pulse dust collectors, water curtain dust collectors, bag dust collectors, and so on. Here, it should be noted that although dust is a source of pollution, it comes from the raw materials of organic fertilizers. After collection, it can be added to the raw materials for fermentation and continued to produce organic fertilizers.
4. Noise pollution
In addition to choosing a location far from residential areas when selecting factory sites, low-noise organic fertilizer production equipment should be selected as much as possible; Strengthen equipment maintenance to avoid high noise caused by abnormal operation of equipment; Installing equipment can increase shock absorption measures; Reasonably plan factory sites and utilize buildings to reduce noise; Measures to reduce noise, such as building green belts and utilizing vegetation for sound absorption.
