Livestock manure not only contains a lot of water, but also various bacteria. Only by deodorizing, sterilizing, and dehydrating can we achieve the goal of improving utilization value and facilitating storage. The commonly used methods for treating livestock and poultry manure are as follows:
1. Silage method
The ensiling method is simple and convenient, and the effect is very good. As long as there is sufficient moisture and soluble carbohydrates, livestock manure can be ensiled together with other coarse materials. When ensiling, the ratio of animal manure to green grass or other feed is 1:1. If the soluble carbohydrates in silage are insufficient, about 10% corn flour can be added. The digestibility of fiber components can be improved by adding alkaline substances such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide, etc. This method can not only improve palatability and absorption rate, prevent excessive loss of protein, but also convert some non protein nitrogen into protein and kill almost all harmful microorganisms. It is a method that can be widely promoted.
2. Drying method
Drying method is a commonly used processing method. Dehydrated feces are easy to store and transport. Drying method fork can be divided into natural drying method and mechanical drying method.
Natural drying method: The collected fresh manure is dried separately or mixed with a certain proportion of wheat bran and spread in a dry place. It is dried by the sun. After drying and sieving, impurities are removed, then crushed and placed in a dry place for use as feed. This method is commonly used in summer.
Mechanical drying method: Mechanical processing mainly includes two types: high-temperature drying and drying puffing drying. High temperature drying is an artificial drying process that uses the heat generated by coal, oil, and electricity. The drying machines used in China are mostly drum type. Chicken manure is dried by drum and subjected to high temperature in a short period of time. The moisture content in chicken manure can be reduced to about 8%. Drying, puffing, and drying utilize both thermal and mechanical effects of spraying to enable livestock and poultry manure to be deodorized and sterilized, meeting the requirements of hygiene, epidemic prevention, and commercial feed. The point of mechanical drying method is that it can be produced in large quantities, not affected by weather, and can achieve the effects of deodorization and sterilization. But the one-time investment is large, the energy consumption is high, it is easy to cause secondary environmental pollution, and it will also lose some nitrogen.
3. Fermentation methods for animal manure fermentation include heap fermentation and plastic bag fermentation. This method can kill pathogenic microorganisms and parasite eggs. It does not emit odor during processing and has minimal nutrient loss. The produced feed has good palatability. Stacking fermentation is the process of collecting fresh chicken manure, pouring it into a tank, soaking it in water and stirring it. After settling, remove impurities from the upper layer and sediment from the lower layer. Take pure chicken manure from the middle layer and drain the water. Add 15-20g yeast tablets, 15-20 sugar calcium tablets, and 5-8 oxytetracycline tablets to every 1000g of chicken manure, and let it ferment for 5-6 hours before use. The plastic bag method is to add chicken manure to rice bran, wheat bran, grass powder, etc., put them into plastic bags, press and seal them tightly, and after 3-5 days, they can be used as feed. In addition, oxidation ditch, puffing method, chemical treatment method and other methods can be used to treat livestock and poultry manure, all of which can achieve good results.
