Livestock manure is a high-quality organic fertilizer that can be directly applied as fertilizer, but its use is limited due to its high moisture content, inconvenient use, and potential for secondary environmental pollution. Biocomposting is an effective method for treating livestock and poultry manure. It involves the degradation of organic matter in livestock and poultry manure by microorganisms, which generates high temperatures, kills pathogens and weed seeds, stabilizes organic matter, and improves fertilizer efficiency.

Here is a commonly used biological composting technology:
(1) Raw material formula: 600-700 kg of animal manure and human urine, 200-300 kg of straw, 50 kg of cake, 50 kg of bran, 1-2 kg of bacterial fertilizer, and 1 kg of brown sugar? 2 kilograms, an appropriate amount of water (the amount of water should be held in hand to form a ball and easily dispersed upon touch, accounting for about 40% of the total amount of raw materials).
(2) Production method
Vaccination: Dissolve the brown sugar in a small amount of warm water (around 40 ℃), then add the fungal agent to make up for the required amount of water, and stir evenly; After mixing the raw materials evenly, sprinkle the prepared bacterial solution evenly on the compost raw materials, stir thoroughly, and the more evenly stirred, the better the effect.
Fermentation: Stack the inoculated materials in the field, compact them as much as possible, seal them with plastic cloth or grass soil, and ferment at a temperature of 25-35 degrees Celsius.
Fermentation takes 7-10 days in summer and 15-30 days in spring and autumn.
Testing: After fermentation, the compost has a fermented aroma with a slight earthy smell. The pH value has significantly decreased compared to before fermentation, and there are obvious white mycelium evenly distributed on the surface (note: if the temperature of the raw materials exceeds 50 ℃ during fermentation, the compost should be turned over to disperse the temperature, and the entire process is generally done 2-3 times).
(3) When using it as a base fertilizer, nest fertilization can be adopted. For various melons, centralized fertilization is more effective than dispersed fertilization, and the application rate is generally 200-300 kilograms per mu.
